Colata dei ceri (wax offer) – Archidado events

Wax offer, historical reenactment. 

In the evocative setting of the main square at night, a group of nobles representing the five quarters bring crude wax and the produce of their land as an offer to Saint Margaret. The wax is melt on a fire and then used to cast the candles that will be offered to Saint Margaret on the following day, when everybody will form a procession to Santa Margherita Church.
